It was a fun dream and I woke up beaming and began considering the possibility of making my dream a reality. I played different scenes of making a grand entrance into rooms filled with people and blushing uncontrollably simply because they were enamored by the new look! Yes I played different different different scenes in my head bringing my dream with me from the night into the start of a day.
Now unlike my night dreams, my day dreams take a longer time in such dreams I can give birth to a baby, the baby’s brother, the baby’s sister till the baby becomes a grandmother!!!!. Yes it can be endless like that but not this one. This one ended. Whilst considering the probability of bringing this dream to life, cold reality slapped me in the face. My hair was only as long as the tail of a rabbit. If I were to attempt shaving my hair, I would end up looking like a character not even befitting of the cartoon world.
My dream ended there
My smile turned into a straight bb face
And my excitement dwindled
Until last night, I dreamt that I was drinking from a yellow cup. The more I drank, the more it replenished itself. Upon that beautiful discovery, guess what I did? I lifted the cup above my dreads (yes dreads, the hair grew back in the dream) and poured the content all over till I was drained in its content. But it didn’t stop there, the content filled the floor on which I stood and snaked its way down the hall way into other rooms and finally into the streets of Lagos.
Then I woke up
N started the day part of the dream. I kept pouring the content till all my eyes could see had been touched with water n then the rise began. The content started filling the world I could see, soon, I was knee deep into it, waist, breast and then in-between my nose and lips.
Then I stopped pouring
N stopped dreaming
N remembered I was almost late for work
But I didn’t stop grinning…. Couldn’t stop
